The present invention provides a mounting aid for mounting an electrical component on a printed circuit board which can easily and stably mount an electrical component which is large and has a connection leading wire such as an electrolytic capacitor or a chock on a printed circuit board, and a method for mounting an electrical component on a printed circuit board. The mounting aid for mounting an electrical component on a printed circuit board comprises: a body part having a base part which has an opening part for inserting the connection leading wire of the electrical component, and having a compartment for receiving the electrical component; and a metal component fixed to the body part. The metal component individually forms at least one contact pin on a lower side of the body part and individually composes a bus bar for connecting the electrical component to multiple compartments of the body part.
