Provided is a method for seakeeping quality assessment using a ship monitoring system, which collects ship motion information and environmental disturbance information in real time from an object ship sailing in an object sea in order to improve sailing safety by assessing seakeeping performance in real time in link with a ship monitoring system. The method for seakeeping quality assessment comprises: a first step of activating a data receiving module to receive the ship motion information and the environmental disturbance information collected through the ship monitoring system, and activating a table setting module to load a predetermined safety index table on the basis of ship body information of the object ship; a second step of activating a seakeeping level evaluation module to set the ship motion information and the environmental disturbance information corresponding to a previously selected assessment time as assessment data; a third step of matching the assessment data with configuration items of the loaded safety index table to assess safety indexes; and a fourth step of transmitting the assessed safety indexes to the ship monitoring system through a data transmission module.
