The present invention relates to a system for providing publication information and a method thereof, capable of easily processing and editing a corresponding literary work as a publication by providing various information related to the corresponding literary work when various literary works published on-line are provided for readers as a complete publication by an electronic or physical means. According to the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: (A) extracting element data of a reference literature by a publisher server; (B) collecting a target literature from an online server in accordance with consistency with the element data of the reference literature by the publisher server; (C) comparing element data of the target literature with that of a publication information DB by the publisher server; and (D) providing a comparison result of the step (C) by the publisher server. If a publishing target literature selection step, a publishing target literature verification step, and a publishing target literature edition step are performed when a literature published online is produced as a publication, objects to be determined by a producer are filtered by an electronic means to be provided, thereby increasing efficiency.
