The present invention relates to an apparatus for predicting a workplace accident and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for predicting a workplace accident includes: a workplace information analysis part that receives at least one workplace information generated in a workplace and determines the validity of the workplace information; an accident type analysis part which analyzes the generated workplace accident information and selects at least one accident type exceeding the predetermined possibility of an accident; an accident rule generation part which structures the type of workplace accident based on the selected accident type and generates an accident rule model according to the accident type; and an accident predicting part for probabilistically predicting the probability of the accident at the workplace based on the generated accident rule model and the valid workplace information determined to be valid by the workplace information analysis part. It is possible to prevent accidents.
