The present invention relates to a production method of a high strength polyester filament having a triangular cross-section which can be used in air sports leisurewear fabrics such as hot-air balloons and parachutes that have light weight and withstand wind pressure by having high strength characteristics. The high strength polyester filament exhibits similar physical properties as Nylon 66, and has excellent dyeing ability, easy post-processing ability, and excellent dimensional stability, air permeability, etc.
