The present invention relates to a non-enzyme based electrochemical sensor for detecting hydrogen peroxide and a preparation method thereof. The sensor for detecting hydrogen peroxide comprises: a sensor base; a laminated thin film comprising a first metal oxide film and an organic polymer film sequentially stacked on the sensor base; a second metal oxide film stacked on the top of the laminated thin film; and a metal nanoparticle bonded to a nanocomposite thin film of the laminated thin film and the second metal oxide film. The preparation method thereof comprises: (a) a step of providing the sensor base; (b) a step of forming the laminated thin film by sequentially laminating the first metal oxide film and the organic polymer film on the top of the sensor base; (c) a step of forming the nanocomposite thin film of the second metal oxide film on the top of the laminated thin film; and (d) a step of bonding the metal nanoparticles to the nanocomposite thin film of the laminated thin film and the second metal oxide film. The sensor for detecting peroxide according to the present invention is the non-enzyme based sensor and can be prepared in a simple and inexpensive way. By using a metal oxide/polymer nanocomposite thin film in a metal nanoparticles bonded from an electrode of an electrochemical sensor, excellent selectivity, stability, and reproducibility can be realized, and at the same time, a reaction time is short such that rapid detection can be performed.
