The present invention can control the activity or expression of OCT4 using CHIP. Specifically, the present invention suppresses the expression of OCT4 protein which plays an important role in maintaining stem cell characteristics of cancer stem cells and mRNA thereof by containing CHIP as an active ingredient, or promotes ubiquitination thereof.
