The present invention relates to a method for yielding standard coating application criteria in order to ensure quality of a coated layer and enhance work efficiency in coating a ship, which comprises: estimating an optimal dilution amount of a thinner for diluting a paint in order to smoothly perform spray; accordingly estimating an optimal set pressure of a coating applicator; and expecting thickness of a coated layer formed when coated with the estimated dilution amount of a thinner under the set pressure of a coating applicator. According to the present invention, reduction in work difficulty and minimization of deviation in coating quality among workers can be realized through standardization of application conditions, and enhanced productivity and saving costs can be achieved through standardization of application condition having optimal efficiency. In addition, quality of coating can be ensured through reduced frequency of occurrence of early defect on a coated layer.
