A method for calculating a quantitative value of a metal artifact for a CT image and generating a CT image using the calculated value is disclosed. The disclosed method for measuring a metal artifact of a CT image includes the steps of: generating photon number information by a measurement angle using x-ray data measured by rotating an object to be measured; separating a high frequency component and a low frequency component of the photon number information; and generating the quantitative value of the metal artifact for the CT image using the magnitude change of the high frequency component and the low frequency component.
