The present invention relates to a hydropower generation device using a free fall-structure in a multi-stage, which comprises: a supporter (10) having a predetermined length and vertically installed; a plurality of waterwheels (20) each having a horizontal rotary shaft (21) rotationally installed on the supporter (10) and a plurality of buckets (22) arranged radially with respect to a rotary shaft (21); an upper water tank (30) and a lower water tank (40) installed on upper and lower parts of the supporter (10), respectively, to contain a predetermined amount of water; a pump (50) installed inside the lower water tank (40) to supply water contained in the lower water tank (40) to the upper water tank (30); generators (60) installed on the rotary shafts (21) of the plurality of waterwheels (20), respectively; and a charging battery (70) storing electricity generated by the generators (60). According to the present invention, electricity can be produced stably and effectively.
