Disclosed is a method for synchronizing time between a plurality of anchors and a plurality of tags in a positioning system. The present invention relates to a method to resolve a time skew caused by a clock speed difference in a processor controlling anchors and tags when performing a location measurement algorithm and, more specifically, to a method for compensating a speed difference between clocks used to control a threshold register to record transceiving signals between a master anchor and slave anchors and between the master anchor and tags when performing two-way ranging (TWR) or one-way ranging (OWR). According to the present invention, the method for time difference compensation in a positioning system comprises: (a) a step where a master anchor transmits a first message and a second message at a preset time interval (hereafter, the signal transmission interval); (b) a step where a tag sequentially receives the first message and the second message and calculates a time interval (hereafter, the signal reception interval) at which the two messages are received; and (c) a step where the tag calculates the signal reception interval for the signal transmission interval. When the method is used, a more accurate location value can be calculated in a real-time location system (RTLS).
