The present invention provides a device and a method for acquiring a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image replacing a function of a timing generation device by using an intermediate frequency and movement of the intermediate frequency through an SW. The device according to the present invention comprises: a time difference setting part setting a time difference of a transmission/reception starting time related to a reflected signal reflected from a target; a reception section changing part changing a reception section of the reflected signal based on the time difference of the transmission/reception starting time; and an SAR image acquiring part acquiring an SAR image based on the reflected signal acquired based on the reception section.
