A local terminal in home connected to a lobby terminal and a control method thereof are disclosed. A local terminal in home connected to a lobby terminal installed on a common porch includes an input part for receiving a shortcut key for each function of the local terminal corresponding to each function of the lobby terminal with a setting key set for each function of the lobby terminal; a setting part configured to set the input shortcut key corresponding to each function of the local terminal; and a processor for transmitting a control command for controlling the function of the lobby terminal corresponding to a specific function by using a shortcut key mapped to the specific function when the specific function of the local terminal is inputted by the operation of the input part. The lobby terminal can be controlled through intuitive operation.
