Use of sildenafil for regenerating and enhancing of skeletal muscle

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for muscle strengthening in an individual showing sildenafil-treated skeletal muscle stem cells as an active ingredient, exhibiting reduced muscle tone, muscle loss or genetic skeletal muscle disease. The present invention provides the skeletal muscle stem cells with enhanced proliferative activity by treating sildenafil when cultured in the skeletal muscle stem cells, thereby helping to regenerate skeletal muscle loss by scarring or surgery, or to improve the muscle loss during aging of a normal person, which can contribute to quantitative improvement thereof.
