The present invention relates to a crash barrier structure for a transition section, and a construction method thereof. The crash barrier structure for a transition section is installed in a transition section connecting a first crash barrier with relative high stiffness and a second crash barrier with low stiffness to gradually change stiffness. At least one W-shaped guardrail is coupled to the second crash barrier in a longitudinal direction. A plurality of pole units are arranged in the transition section in the longitudinal direction. The W-shaped guardrail is continuously coupled to the plurality of pole units by a means of a block-out to couple one end thereof to the first crash barrier. A guide rail is coupled to the pole units on a lower portion of the W-shaped guardrail, and one end gradually protrudes towards a front surface to be coupled to the first crash barrier. Accordingly, reinforcement for a collision of a vehicle is possible to resolve a pocketing phenomenon in a transition section of a crash barrier or a problem of a collision between a stiff crash barrier and a vehicle.
