METHODS OF SETTING/OPERATING KEYBOARD CARTRIDGE OF MULTI-FUNCTION CONSOLE FOR e-NAVIGATION AND MULTIFUNCTION CONSOLE FOR e-NAVIGATION

Disclosed are a multifunction console for e-navigation and a method for setting and operating a keyboard cartridge for a multifunction console. The method for setting and operating a keyboard cartridge for a multifunction console comprises: a step of installing a keyboard cartridge for a multifunction console, which can be attached to and detached from a multifunction console (MFC) for e-navigation by using an installation module; a step of connecting a port to transmit and receive data with the multifunction console by a port connection module; a step of receiving a key from a user and generating a key input signal about the key which is input, by using a key input module comprising multiple keys; and a step of transmitting the key input signal generated in the key input module to the multifunction console through the port connection module in real time by using a key input signal transmitting module. According to the present invention, the keyboard cartridge for a multifunction console is manufactured so that an existing keyboard used for various consoles can be used for the multifunction console, and is installed for use. Thus, the existing optimized keyboard composition and arrangement can be used by being selected in accordance with a function of the console. Also, there is a problem that the existing console cannot be controlled when the keyboard is broken. The keyboard cartridge for a multifunction console can be used by being replaced even if the keyboard is broken. Therefore, the keyboard cartridge for a multifunction console is very efficient in the event of a failure or for maintenance and enables safe navigation.
