The present invention relates to a primer and probe for simultaneous detection of four subtypes of coronavirus, HKU1, OC43, 229E and NL63, and to a method of detecting coronaviruses by using the same. More specifically, the primer and probe of the present invention, capable of simultaneously detecting coronaviruses HCoV-229E, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-NL63 and HCoV-HKU1 generally infect a human, has excellent sensitivity, and can specifically detect HCoV-229E, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-NL63, and HCoV-HKU1, and thus the primer and probe set of the present invention can be beneficially used in the detection and diagnosis of HCoV-229E, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-NL63, and HCoV-HKU1.
