~Disclosed is a fault interpretation method using displacement patterns of normal faults form 3D seismic data. The present invention includes a data preparing step of performing a filtering process for reducing noise to improve a signal/noise ratio of a 3D seismic material and a resolution improving process through a frequency dissolving technique; a step of setting a distal end point of a fault on a time section of the seismic material that interprets a trace of the fault while vertically moving the seismic time section in unit of a specific time as a process of interpreting the trace of the fault visualized through an analysis of an attribute of the seismic material; a step of analyzing a fault on a vertical section of a seismic material by analyzing a trace of the fault in a vertical section of the seismic material by using the trace of the fault analyzed in a time section of the 3D seismic material as a guide; a step of analyzing a geometric pattern of the fault based on a ground surface, by deriving a displacement-distance graph of a fault surface analyzed vertically-horizontally from the ground surfaces influenced by the fault operation; and a step of adjusting a displacement of the fault to correct an error of a section identified as an error of the analysis of the fault through the analysis of the geometric pattern of the fau and a step of verifying the corrected analysis of the fault. An analysis verifying procedure using a displacement-distance graph of a fault surface that reflects geometric features and mechanical features of a fault may be suggested.
