The present invention relates to a system for constructing a database for precise safety diagnostic evaluation of a disaster risk reservoir using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and a method thereof. The system includes: a UAV for photographing a disaster risk reservoir while flying over the reservoir; a database for storing data related to precise safety diagnostic evaluation of the disaster risk reservoir; and a server for receiving a plurality of images of the disaster risk reservoir photographed by the UAV, creating a three-dimensional terrain model, creating a digital terrain map using the three-dimensional terrain model, manufacturing a digital elevation model (DEM) using the digital terrain map, acquiring information for precise safety diagnostic evaluation of the disaster risk reservoir from the digital terrain map and the DEM, and updating the database by reflecting the acquired information for the precise safety diagnostic evaluation. According to the present invention, there is an effect of quickly and accurately grasping a situation around a reservoir and an embankment state thereof by a user managing the reservoir using a UAV system which can easily acquire precise status data of a disaster risk reservoir.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
