A washroom system and associated operating method are provided in which the customer receives a personalized message or other personalized washroom experience. The washroom system is configured with a receiver that receives each ID signal unique to a particular customer entering the facility. The unique ID signal is transmitted by the device carried by the customer. The processor system communicates with the receiver to receive a unique ID signal. The processor system includes a memory having a file associated with each unique ID signal, the files being retrieved by the processor and stored in a unique ID signal that is used to generate a personalized message and send it to the broadcast equipment of the washroom facility It contains information about each customer involved.
