The present invention relates to a method to implement virtual reality (VR) for a museum and a gallery, and a device thereof, more specifically, a method to implement VR for a museum and a gallery of a terminal which includes an application program installed therein and storing a three-dimensional (3D) coordinate database of the museum and the gallery; and a device thereof. The method comprises: a step of using a marker image to measure initial position and direction of a camera when a random marker image is inputted through the camera; a step of using one or more sensors installed in the terminal to collect vector information in accordance with movement of the terminal; a step of using the vector information to calculate current position and direction of the camera; and a step of using the current position and direction and a view angle of the camera to identify an exhibition placed in a real space displayed in the terminal and display VR content corresponding to the exhibition on a screen. As such, VR is implemented by using coordinate information without generating a virtual image in real-time or transmitting/receiving a lot of data between a server and the terminal, thereby providing a user with a fast and high accuracy VR image.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
