The present invention relates to a ubiquitous healthcare system operating on a smartphone and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, vital data in a digital form produced by an integrated vital measurement device are supplied to a portable terminal through a communication network, a diagnosis application on the portable terminal is used to diagnose whether a patient is in a bad condition based on vital signs such as body temperature, blood pressure, heart beats (pulse frequency), oxygen saturation and auscultation sound without constraints of a place and time, and a diagnosis result yielded by the ubiquitous healthcare diagnosis system operating on a smartphone is delivered to a patient or the parties concerned through the communication network, thereby allowing remote healthcare in an efficient way and real-time monitoring on whether a patient is in a bad condition to make an immediate action possible in case of emergency. Accordingly, in the aging era, a health condition of a parent who lives alone is able to be notified to family members such that the family members are able to take actions when a highly aged parent is diagnosed at a hospital to provide healthcare to the parent.
