Coastline Detection System using Satellite Image and method thereof

A coastline detection method using a satellite image according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a step of receiving a satellite image, performing a preset coordinate extraction algorithm on the received image and extracting two-dimensional coordinates; a step of comparing the GPS coordinate value of the satellite image with the GPS coordinate value of a region to be divided and determining whether the region is present in the satellite image; a step of dividing the satellite image based on the extracted coordinates; and a step of detecting a coastline by matching the divided images. It is possible to obtain high detection performance.
