The present invention relates to a system for automation of assessment of an energy performance indicator using building information modeling data and a method thereof which can quickly and accurately calculate a building category score of an energy performance indicator. The system for automation of assessment of an energy performance indicator using building information modeling data comprises: an object data generation unit to generate object data for assessment of items 1-9 of a building category score of an energy performance indicator; a property information database to use the object data to generate and store property information data for assessing the energy performance indicator and provide the property information data by building information modeling (BIM); an extraction module unit to extract assessment data for score assessment of the items 1-9; a collection module unit to collect and classify parameters from the assessment data extracted by the extraction module unit; a calculation module unit to calculate assessment result data including a score of the energy performance indicator and scores for items 1-9; and an output module unit to output data of the parameters collected and processed by the collection module unit and the assessment result data calculated by the calculation module unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
