The present invention relates to a novel Lactobacillus plantarum LRCC5310 strain having rotavirus inhibitory ability and an exopolysaccharide derived from the strain. The strain and the exopolysaccharide derived from the strain have excellent rotavirus inhibiting ability. An embodiment of the present invention provides a Lactobacillus plantarum LRCC5310 strain having an accession number KCCM12078P.
