The present invention relates to a molecular marker for selecting rice varieties resistant to rice stripe virus disease and uses thereof. Specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for sorting rice varieties resistant to rice strip virus disease including a pair of primers consisting of SEQ ID Nos: 1 and 2, which detects the molecular marker, a kit for sorting rice varieties, and a method for sorting rice varieties comprising a step of detecting the molecular marker. The polymorphic molecular marker Sid2 according to the present invention can be used for discriminating rice varieties resistant to rice stripe virus disease (RSVD) including the Stv-b gene, and thus is useful for breeding intermediate samples for diversification of RSVD resistant varieties and variety development.
