The positioning system according to the present invention includes first and second diffusing light sources, wherein the first and second diffusing light sources each include a light source section for emitting an optical signal including its own unique position information in all directions, Wherein the position measuring apparatus includes a sensor unit for receiving the optical signal and an operation unit for determining the position in response to the received optical signal, The first and second photosensors sense the optical signal in the first and second imaging regions corresponding to the first and second optical sensors, respectively, and provide the sensed optical signals to the operation unit.
