The present invention provides a system for managing food waste information of a restaurant to efficiently manage food waste. The system for managing food waste information of a restaurant comprises: a card which is attached to a food waste collection container and records food waste information including food waste card identification information and food waste capacity information to be read; a portable terminal to recognize the food waste information included in the card; and a food waste information management server to receive the recognized food waste information, collect information of a plurality of restaurants and information of a plurality of food waste collection companies, and use the received food waste information, the information of the plurality of restaurants, and the information of the plurality of food waste collection companies to generate food waste statistics information. The food waste statistics information includes at least one among food waste statistics information for each restaurant, restaurant type, and each region.
