The present invention relates to a diagnostic kit for detecting methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection of a specimen. A method for determining the infection of the specimen to MRSA using the diagnostic kit is performed by visually observing the color change after the LAMP reaction. The color change is due to magnesium concentration change, and can be confirmed by using a special dye compound which sensitively reacts to magnesium ions and is developed in the present invention. In the present invention, the amplification of MRSA DNA uses a loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method, and thus the diagnostic kit provided by the present invention can be conveniently used anywhere and at any time, and also can rapidly diagnose MRSA infection.
