FIELD: test.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing and technical diagnostics of machines, in particular to method of determination of specific effective fuel consumption of engine in mode of machine starting from at maximum load. Essence of the invention consists in the following. When the machine is being prepared, a fuel flow meter is installed for its engine testing, and when measuring the traction force, the maximum value of hourly fuel consumption is additionally measured by means of the above device. Thereafter, the specific effective fuel consumption of the engine is calculated using a formula which takes into account the following parameters: maximum hourly fuel consumption, coefficient of compliance of maximum traction force with its value at inflection point on traction power curve as function of traction force, transmission vehicle transmission efficiency coefficient, braking installation efficiency, maximum traction force, inclination angle of traction characteristic straight branch line to abscissa axis.EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of fast (within 3–5 minutes) determining specific effective fuel consumption of engine in machine starting mode at maximum load.1 cl, 1 dwg
