FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of a single-phase nanocrystalline bismuth ferrite powder BiFeO₃ with ferromagnetic properties. The method comprises mixing bismuth nitrates Bi (NO₃)₃, iron nitrates Fe (NO₃)₃, glycerol, and water to form a solution, evaporating the resulting solution to form a gel and heating it to the flash point to form a powder. Mentioned bismuth nitrates and iron nitrates are used in the calculated amount required for obtaining bismuth ferrite, and glycine - in the amount of 35-50% less than the estimated amount.
