摘要
FIELD: geophysics; measurement technology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysical studies of frozen soils and can be used to determine the capacity of a soil-permafrost complex suitable for engineering and construction works, as well as to study cryolithozone soils. Method comprises vertical electrical sounding of soil-permafrost sequence with an interval of feeding electrodes equal to 5–20 cm, and preliminary longitudinal electrical sounding with an interval of 20–60 cm for selection of investigated sections with homogeneous vegetation. According to the graphs of specific electrical resistance, the lower boundary of a soil-permafrost complex suitable for engineering and construction works is determined. Proposed method differs from most existing methods because it allows to measure the thickness of a layer of a soil-permafrost complex suitable for engineering and construction works without a mechanical disruption of the integrity of the soil and vegetation cover. There is no need for pits, drilling or mechanical penetration into the soil-permafrost sequence by using a steel probe significantly reduces the cost and simplifies engineering and construction surveys in frozen soils.;EFFECT: invention provides monitoring of the power dynamics of a layer of the soil-permafrost complex suitable for engineering and construction works at a high speed and without penetration into the soil-ground mass.;1 cl, 3 dwg
