Method for thermal recovery of formation oil in horizontal wells by means of electric heating of the formation, in which an electric heater is located, including in horizontal wells. Method comprises electrically heating a formation and raising formation temperature until formation oil is transferred to a mobile state. Partial heating of the oil formation is carried out at the same time. Formation comprises edge water and bottom water.
