Self-locking asynchronous electric motor contains a stator with a cylindrical bore with an excitation winding, a cylindrical twin rotor, located on the shaft symmetrically in the axial direction relative to the stator magnetic circuit with the possibility of axial movement in the air gap formed by the parts of the rotor, between which is installed a brake spring, put on the shaft. On internal surfaces of bearing boards conic brake shoes with rigidly fixed brake slips are provisioned. Core assembly of magnetic conductors of cylindrical double rotor are laminated, and made of electric steel plates, on the external cylindrical surfaces of which there are grooves with the winding rods located in them, the ends of which are connected from the ends of the magnetic circuits by short rings. Rods of windings placed are located mirror-like relative to centre in axial direction, parallel to machine rotation axis. Core assemblies of magnetic conductors of cylindrical double rotor are connected with the shaft by means of splined connections, made mirror-wise with respect to the center of the stator magnetic conductor along the helicoidal surface with the angle of the axial slant relative to the longitudinal axis of the shaft. Direction of rotation of the rotor shaft coincides with the increase in the angle of the axial slope of the splines from the edges of the shaft to the middle.;EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the operating time and starting currents, increasing the braking efficiency, providing positioning accuracy while maintaining high energy characteristics.;1 cl, 1 dwg
