FIELD: technological processes.;SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the production of a composite material comprising the metal matrix of an aluminum alloy and reinforcing particles of titanium carbide. Powder of the matrix components in the form of an aluminum powder and the powder of at least one component selected from the range, which consists of copper, magnesium, lithium, nickel, chromium, zinc, and manganese are used. First, during 5–50 % of the total mechanical alloying time, the initial mixture with the matrix content of 5–50 WT% of the total processed material, after which the matrix components are added in the amount of at least 0.05 parts by weight of the original mixture and not more than 10 parts by weight of the original mixture and mechanical alloying is carried out until the processing is complete.
