FIELD: mining.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of methane extraction from coal seams and can be used for experimental exploration of exploratory wells in multi-layer deposits of methane-coal deposits. Method for conducting studies of methane-coal wells using an optical fiber cable is proposed, including the descent of geophysical equipment – a pressure sensor and a distributed temperature sensor cable connected to ground equipment for recording pressure and temperature, and constant temperature monitoring along the entire wellbore simultaneously with the recording of bottomhole pressure. Measurements are made when pumping out formation fluid and when reservoir fluid level is restored. Then, on the basis of obtained pressure values, the values of depression are determined at which certain intervals begin to work, and on the basis of temperature dependence from the depth presence of recorded temperature anomalies is determined due to the effect of gas throttling and heat exchange of fluids, and the most productive intervals for subsequent fracturing of coal seams are determined.;EFFECT: technical result consists in reduced cost of hydraulic fracturing during well operation on multi-layered deposits of methane-coal deposits.;1 cl, 1 dwg
