FIELD: gas industry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the gas industry and can be used for pneumatic tests of the disconnected section of the main gasline (MG). Method and apparatus for pneumatically testing a disconnected section of MG by compressing therein the air contained in the disconnected section with a pressure of 1.15–1.2 MPa. After displacing natural gas from it, this air is compressed in the disconnected section to the pressure set for pneumatic tests, which is 1.3–1.5 times higher than the working pressure of natural gas in MG. As a supercharger for air compression, a hydrodrive compressor equipped with a regulating organ is used, the suction and pressure ports of the hydraulic compressor are connected to the disconnected section of the MG by two additional pipelines with locking bodies. Pressure gauges on the pressure connection of the hydrodrive compressor and on the disconnected section of the MG are connected by pulse lines to the regulating organ of the hydraulic compressor.;EFFECT: invention makes it possible to conduct pneumatic tests with compressed air, reduce energy costs and prevent corrosion of the inner wall of the MG by using air compressed to the pressure required for pneumatic tests.;2 cl, 1 dwg
