FIELD: technological processes.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heat-shielding coating and a high-temperature cold-wall hydrogenation reactor therewith. Thermal barrier coating comprises a serially arranged adhesive layer, a second ceramic layer and a first ceramic layer. Second ceramic layer consists of zirconia stabilized with alumina, having an alumina content of up to 30 % by weight. First ceramic layer consists of zirconium dioxide stabilized zirconia stabilized with an yttrium oxide content of 6–9 % by weight. Zirconium oxide in both ceramic layers has a tetragonal crystal structure. Reactor comprises a housing including an outer shell, a stainless steel surfacing layer and a heat-shield coating in which the adhesive layer of the heat-shielding coating fits snugly against the stainless steel surfacing layer. Invention provides an improvement in the heat resistance and coating ability to deformation, effective absorption and reduction of the thermal stress occurring during the cycles of the counter-thermal pulses, excluding overheating and damage to the reactor liner, and also increases the reaction temperature to accelerate and shorten the reaction time and increase the yield of the liquid medium.;EFFECT: heat-protective coating is proposed.;10 cl, 6 ex
