Method and apparatus for detecting the size of a person before entry into a space

A method and device for detecting a size of a person at an outer of the space are provided to be occupied. The method comprises: detecting on the outside of a vehicle, a size of a person approaching the vehicle, in order to board in the vehicle; and setting a position of at least one of a vehicle control, a motor vehicle mirrors or a vehicle seat, based on the detected size of the person approaching the vehicle. The method and the device can be used in order to detect the size of a person, the intended, a vehicle and in order to occupy the positioning of different elements, and the controllers, based on the detected size before the entry into the vehicle to be set.
