The piston has a piston body defined laterally by a skirt, and a housing receiving an axle for connecting the piston to a ball head. A peripheral crown (35) is placed on a front surface (33) of a piston head (32). A reservoir (34) is extended at the center of the surface and defined by the crown. A channel (36) is formed in the piston head to guide a mixture of fuel i.e. compressed natural gas, and oxidizer towards the reservoir for mixing the fuel and oxidizer, where a width of the channel is convergent towards the outlet and a maximum depth of the channel is lower than that of the reservoir.
