The invention relates to a device for handling, maintaining, transporting, protecting and storing canvas frames during painting and drying. For the manipulation and the maintenance of the work, it consists of universal spacers (fig.1) adapting to all the sections of the wood of the canvas frames (fig.3). For transport, protection and storage of the work, it consists of a briefcase (Fig 5) for large formats or a trestle-case (fig.9) for small and medium formats adapted to the exterior painting. This device is characterized by universal spacers (1) and the case or trestle-case forming an inseparable set for the protection of the work against all risks of deterioration and paint stains during handling and transport. This device, according to the invention, is particularly intended for art painting.
