Wind turbine generator with fault behavior like a synchronous generator

There is described a method of controlling a converter for converting a DC voltage into AC voltages. The method comprises (a) detecting (310) a fault, (b) determining (330) whether the fault is a balanced fault or an unbalanced fault, and (c) if the fault is an unbalanced fault, controlling (340) the converter to have an apparent negative sequence impedance (Z2) equal to its apparent positive sequence impedance (Z1). There are further described a computer program, a controller for a converter, a converter, and a system.
