Disclosed are a label and a method for positioning an item subjected to security inspection. Same are used in the technical field of security inspection and can solve the problem that security inspection information cannot be associated with positional information about the item subjected to security inspection in a complex environment. The method includes: binding an item subjected to security inspection with a label including an identifier (201); obtaining a security inspection image of the item subjected to security inspection when passing through a security inspection device (202); recognizing an identifier in the security inspection image (203); and comparing and tracking the identifier recognized from the security inspection image with the identifier in the label bound with the item subjected to security inspection when the item subjected to security inspection needs to be positioned (204).
