A method for arranging a reservation for a battery in one of a plurality of the battery stations (4), the battery (2) being operable to switch between an idle state and a reserved state. The method includes: receiving an inquiry that includes a location of a user device (5); determining a selected one of battery stations (4) having at least one battery (2) in the idle state and having a shortest distance from the user device (5), and transmitting a response to the user device (5), the response including the selected one of battery stations (4); and controlling one of the at least one battery (2) in the selected one of battery stations (4) that is in the idle state to switch to the reserved state.
