The invention relates to a method for obtaining a plant-growth-promoting composition comprising Pseudomonas putida, including the following steps: a) growing Pseudomonas putida bacteria in a culture medium containing industrial waste; and b) collecting the resulting culture and preserving same at 4° C. The industrial waste can be whey or molasses. The invention also relates to the use of the composition obtained from said method in order to increase the productivity of vegetable crops, such as chards, tomatoes and lettuces, as well as to maintain lawns, such as on a golf course.
