Method for measuring thermo-physical properties of a medium in which are placed a measurement probe (2) and a compensation probe (3), a current (Im) being passed by the measurement probe (2) and a current (Ic)of the same frequency as and of amplitude proportional to that of the current (Im) being passed by the measurement probe (2) flowing through the compensation probe (3), in which process a signal containing a harmonic component useful for the measurement of the thermo-physical properties of the medium is generated from differential amplification of the voltages across the terminals of the compensation probe (3) and of the measurement probe (2), with a gain (G) chosen to decrease the amplitude of the first harmonic component within the resulting signal.
