To provide simple, accurate and quantitative methods for detecting Class A carbapenemase-producing bacteria and multi-well plates for use with the methods.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a method for detecting carbapenemase-producing bacteria comprising a microliquid dilution method using liquid culture media (a) and (b), where the liquid culture medium (a) contains 0.015-256 μg/ml of meropenem and the liquid culture medium (b) contains 0.015-256 μg/ml of meropenem and 1-64 μg/ml of clavulanic acid or tazobactam as an inhibitor, and the carbapenemase-producing bacteria are class A carbapenemase-producing bacteria.
