To provide ligands and catalysts prepared from the ligands significantly improved in conversion and selectivity in comparison with conventional metal catalysts and organocatalysts.SOLUTION: A ligand has the structure in the figure or its enantiomer. In the formula: R, R, Rand Rare selected from alkyl, cycloalkyl, and aryl; the crosslinking group is selected from CHNH,CH(CH)NH(C,R), andCH(CH)NH(C,S); and the organocatalyst is an organic molecule catalyst covalently bound to the crosslinking group. Further provided is a catalyst where a metal selected from among Rh, Pd, Cu and the like is coordinated to a phosphorus atom of the ligand.SELECTED DRAWING: None
