PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating mud generated in a slurry type shield construction method, capable of forming a solidified body having a large cone index and reducing an amount of harmful substances such as heavy metals eluted from the solidified body.;SOLUTION: A method for treating mud generated in a slurry type shield construction method including a crushing step of adding a solidifying and insolubilizing agent to mud generated in a slurry type shield construction method and subjecting it to crushing treatment to form crush-treated mud, and a mixing step of adding the solidifying and insolubilizing agent to the crush-treated mud and subjecting it to mixing treatment to form mix-treated mud, wherein in the crushing step and the mixing step, either of a cationic polymer flocculant or an anionic polymer flocculant is not added, and the crushing treatment in the crushing step is carried out until a 50% passing mass percentage of the crushed mud is 18 mm or less and a 80% passing mass percentage is 40 mm or less.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT
