To provide a manufacturing method of a locally strengthened component capable of strengthening up to a deeper position than the surface of the component comprising a steel, in a short time; and to provide a locally strengthened component strengthened up to a locally deep position.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a locally strengthened component includes an application step for applying a strengthening element inclusion including an element for strengthening steel strength, on at least a part of the surface of the component comprising a steel, and a melting step for melting the part where the strengthening element inclusion is applied, together with the strengthening element inclusion. Preferably, the strengthening element inclusion includes one or more kinds of elements selected from a group comprising C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, V, W, Ni, Co, B and Ti.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
